Description

Ludwig's Angina and Cervicofacial nectrotizing fasciitis are 2 of the most challenging infections that any dentist may come across during their careers. Although rare in the general dentistry practice one needs to be aware of the presentations and the dangers of not taking quick action when faced with the diseases.

Objectives

The presentation will aim to highlight important aspects in the clinical presentation and management of the 2 conditions and some of the complications that may arise. Since the disease are largely preventable  the dental fraternity has a big role in the prevention of the infections.
