Description

An early morning presentation by the NASCOP team on the HTS guidelines that provide a synthesis of recommended approaches to delivering HTS, including pre-test and post-test services and messaging, HIV diagnosis, quality assuarance of HIV testing, HIV diagnosis in the context of surveillance and monitoring and evaluation of HTSI as well as coordination with laboratory services.


Objectives

  • To provide comprehensive policy guidelines for the delivery of quality HTS in all approaches and setings in Kenya
  • To provide guidance for strengthening linkage to care and treatment and other post test services
  • To define various HTS strategies for different settings and types of populations
  • To define key target and target populations who may particularly benefit from HIV testing services
  • To describe responsibility of various players in HTS policy formulation/review implementation.
