Description

The 7th Kenya International Scientific Lung Health Conference (KISLHC) 2026 is a multidisciplinary scientific forum bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, academics, and other stakeholders to share evidence, innovations, and practical approaches for improving lung health. The conference will explore current and emerging challenges across the lung health continuum, including tuberculosis, respiratory infections, chronic respiratory diseases, paediatric lung health, environmental and occupational exposures, digital health, advanced clinical care, prevention, financing, and health-system integration. Through plenary sessions, symposia, workshops, scientific presentations, case discussions, and knowledge exchange, participants will gain insights that can support evidence-based, patient-centred and integrated approaches to lung health practice.

Objectives

By the end of the conference, participants should be able to: Discuss current evidence and emerging developments in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory and lung diseases. Examine integrated approaches to tuberculosis and broader lung health across different levels of healthcare. Apply updated knowledge and evidence to improve patient-centred respiratory care and clinical practice. Identify emerging challenges and opportunities in paediatric and adult lung health. Discuss the impact of environmental, occupational, and other exposures on respiratory health. Explore the role of digital health, innovation, and technology in improving access to and delivery of lung health services. Evaluate strategies for strengthening lung health systems, including prevention, financing, policy, and health-system integration. Share and critically appraise current research, innovations, and experiences in lung health. Strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange among professionals involved in lung health. Identify practical approaches that can be adapted to improve lung health outcomes within local and regional healthcare settings.
