Description
Lasers are fast becoming an indispensable treatment tool not only for their ability to minimize tissue damage and treat sites traditionally deemed not viable, but also the ability to promote healing and repair. The course is suitable for dentist and auxiliary staff to gain an insight into how lasers can provide additional benefits to patients as well as gaining an understanding into how to safely incorporate them into practice
Objectives
Give participants an understanding into how lasers work
â?¢ Give participants detailed understanding of the science and physics of lasers in dentistry
â?¢ Give participants an understanding of laser stimulated pain management and photo-bio-
modulation
â?¢ Give participants an understanding into uses of lasers in dentistry
â?¢ Give participants the ability to choose a laser for their particular needs and understand
how to apply them practice
â?¢ Participants will understand hazards associated with lasers in dental practice and the
ability to apply proper procedures for laser safety in their practice
â?¢ Participants will be able to understand hazard control

Dr.
Adrian Goh
BDS from the National University of Singapore in 2003. He served as a Dental Officer in the Ministry of Health , Singapore from from 2003-2008. He was awarded Singapore Excellence Service Award, Silver in 2004 ( youngest dental officer). He serve in different government institution which include National Dental Centre, Health promotion board , School Dental services and Polyclinics.
