This is a lecture intended to teach practitioners at Vihiga County Hospital about the approaches to pain management in cancer patients. With the rising number of cancer patients, the importance of pain management both for and before palliation is essential.

Objectives

To educate clinicians on approaches to pain management. To educate nurses and other staff on the subject of pain in cancer and alert them on their role in the same.

  1. Dr. Hilda Mubisi
    Dr. Mubisi is a specialist clinical oncologist. She completed her postgraduate training in clinical oncology and nuclear medicine at the University of Alexandria in 2020. She had previously completed her undergraduate training at Moi University in 2011. She currently heads the oncology department at Kakamega County Referral Hospital.
