Description

This training was designed to strengthen participants’ knowledge, confidence, and practical skills in bronchoscopic procedures. Objectives

By the end of this training, participants should be able to: 1. Explain the principles, indications, contraindications, and applications of bronchoscopy in clinical practice. 2. Demonstrate proper patient assessment and preparation, including informed consent, monitoring, and safety considerations. 3. Describe and demonstrate the basic techniques for flexible bronchoscopy, including airway navigation and systematic examination of the bronchial tree. 4. Develop skills in bronchoscopic sampling techniques, including bronchoalveolar lavage, bronchial washings, and biopsy where applicable. 5. Identify potential complications and adverse events associated with bronchoscopy and describe appropriate prevention and management strategies. 6. Improve participants’ confidence and competence in performing and assisting with bronchoscopy within their scope of practice. 7. Promote effective teamwork and communication among clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in bronchoscopy services.
