Hyperglycemia: This is the state of high blood glucose. (i.e., RBS >11.0 mmol/l, FBS >7.0 mmol/l) • Hypoglycemia: This is the state of low blood glucose. (i.e., RBS or FBS <3.9 mmol/l) • Pre-diabetes is a condition in which blood glucose (sugar) levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes (FBS 5.6-6.9 mmol/l). It is also known as impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) or impaired fasting glucose (IFG)
