1. Dr. MD Maina
   He is a holder of MBchB, M.Med(Internal Med) from University of Nairobi; Msc (haematology) Royal Hammersmith Hospital and was awarded Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in haematology. He is a consultant physicianand haematoonologist with over 30 years’ experience specializing in treang blood cancers and disorders. He is the founder chairman of Kenya Society on Haemostasis (KSTH).

2. Dr. Peter Waweru
   Lecturer, Department of Human Anatomy and Medical Physiology, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Nairobi. Dr Waweru’s research interests are the Pathophysiology, risk determinants, drug discovery and early point of care diagnosis of metabolic syndrome plus its associated conditions with specific interests in the interaction between Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) and Infectious disease. Mechanisms of HAART and HIV associated metabolic syndrome

3. Dr. David Nekyon
   He is a consultant anaesthesiologist and is currently based at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi. He completed both his undergraduate and post graduate medical training at Makerere. He underwent subspecialty training in cardio-thoracic anaesthesia in Johannesburg. He is a full me faculty member in the department of anaesthesia at the Aga Khan University and his clinical interests are cardiac anaesthesia, preoperative assessment and medical education.

4. Dr. Gordon Ogweno
   Dr Ogweno is a consultant anaesthesiologist and lecturer at Kenyatta University School of Medicine, Department of Medical physiology with over 18 years teaching experience. He is a holder of MBChB and M,Med (anaesth) from University of Nairobi. He obtained his PhD from Kenyatta University after writing a thesis titled ‘Haemodilution and coagulation’. He has done research on platelet functions, Thrombin generation, thromboelastography. He is currently a PI in research on Platelet functions and biomarkers in HIV associated ischaemic stroke in Kenya.

5. Dr. Geoffrey Mongare
   He is working in MTRH Anticoagulation Clinic with 6 years’ experience. Currently in charge anticoagulation clinic under cardiology department MTRH

6. Miss Rose Ngugi
   KRN/KRM/KCCN BSc Health System Management with wealth of experience in quality improvement and IPC
   


7. Dr. Nicky Mbuthia
   She is a lecturer in the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, Kenyatta University. She holds a MSc in Critical Care Nursing and a PhD in Health Studies and has more than 15 years of experience in the academic and healthcare communities. Her program of research focuses on studying healthcare quality improvement and patient safety and mainly the role of the nurse.

8. Dr. Anne Mogera
   Consultant Physician with years of experience in fields of Cardiology and Critical Care. Head of the Medical critical care service at the National Teaching and Referral Hospital, Kenyatta National Hospital. Passionate about improving the delivery of service in areas of critical care and cardiology in the country. Currently Chairperson of Venous Thromboembolism Committee at the Kenyatta National Hospital

9. Dr. Peris Thamaini
   She is a holder of MBChB (UoN), and M.Med (Clinical Path) from Aga Khan University. She is a lecturer and the current chairman, Department of Pathology, Kenyatta University. Her research interests include haemato-oncology and histopathology associated with HIV infection.
