Older Adult mortality: measurement issues and policy implications in sub-Saharan Africa

Presenters

  1. Dr. Soumaila Ouedraogo
Soumaila completed his PhD in Demography at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne while hosted at the French institute for demographic studies (INED, France). He is interested in African demography in general. More specifically, He focuses on mortality studies, especially the mortality of older adults, which has received very little attention in the field. In this regard, His PhD is dedicated to estimating the levels and trends of mortality of this population segment in sub-Saharan Africa by crossing various data sources.
