Description

1) Introduction, overview of Myofunctional orthodontics using MRC’s appliances – 0.5hrs 2) Interactive session with delegates on how to use the patient consultation form and how to get patient compliance (role play), and how to sell the appliances correctly – 0.75 hrs. 3) Basic myofunctional evaluation with video demonstration – 0.25hrs 4) Appliance range available and what to use when – 0.5hrs 5) Basic videos on delivery of the appliance, myofunctional activities, what to check at review appointment and patient flow – 0.25hrs 6) Discussion and questions: – 0.25hrs

Objectives

1) Be able to understand the concept of soft tissue dysfunction and how this leads to malocclusions- and WHY this is so relevant. 2) Know how to carry out basic myofunctional evaluation and treatment planning to get started with using Myobrace appliances. 3) Have an understanding of the different appliances available for use in different situations 4) Have an understanding of how to get best patient compliance 5) Hands-on with appliances- see, feel and use (if purchased) the appliances
