Description
The workshop trains Maseno University Faculty, JOOTRH consultants and residents in Family Medicine/ObsGyn/Pediatrics/General Surgery on how to develop a rapid cycle practice simulation techniques. In this workshop 4th year medical students in Pediatrics, Internal medicine and ObsGyn were trained using this method on various medical emergencies they encounter at the hospital.
Objectives
1. To implement a faculty development curriculum in rapid cycle deliberate practice simulation training in Kisumu, Kenya through collaborative design between MUSOM and NU faculty which will facilitate using RCDP SBME as an educative tool.
2. To use the RCDP approach in training Maseno University 4th year medical students in various clinical emergencies.
