Description
This half day workshop was mainly aimed at training members of Faculty at the School of Dentistry on how to have a successful mentorship relationship with their mentees (the students). It was also a platform to talk about the mentorship program at the school to other invited guests from the College of Health Sciences (CHS).
Objectives
The workshop objectives were as follows:
1. Introduce attendees to the SOD mentorship program
and how it works.
2. Decribe in detail what mentorship is.
3. Desribe the role of mentors in mentorship
4. Give tips for effective mentorship.
5. Discuss challenges and possible solutions.
6. Conduct role plays on various mentorship scenarios.
