As dentistry becomes more reliant on digital technology, it is crucial to ensure that patient data is secure and protected from cyber threats. In this talk, we will cover the key aspects of cybersecurity and data protection in dentistry, based on NIST standards, ISO security and privacy standards, Kenya Data Protection Act, and GDPR, as well as the use of AI in dentistry.
Objectives
By following the key principles of cybersecurity and data protection, dentists can ensure that patient data is kept safe and secure from cyber threats, including those associated with the use of AI in dentistry. This talk will provide dentists with the knowledge and tools necessary to protect patient data, comply with regulatory requirements and best practices in data protection and cybersecurity, and safely implement AI in their practice.
