Pathology Workshop to discuss Pediatric Acute Leukemia (morphology, IHC, & special stains) Learning Objectives: 1. Identify the typical clinical presentation and epidemiological findings of children with acute leukemias 2. Recognize morphologic features that can distinguish acute myeloid leukemia (AML) from lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) 3. Compare the immunophenotypes and genetics of AML and ALL 4. Assemble a panel of immunohistochemical studies to differentiate between AML, B-ALL, and T-ALL 5. Recognize other ancillary studies that are available for the diagnosis and classification of acute leukemia 6. Understand the role of flow cytometry testing and interpretation (Introduction)
